क्यों न हो, इस राजपरिवारमें भी तो ये दोनों एक ही समयसे निवास करते हैं?” इस तरहकी बातें कहकर रानी सुदेष्णा प्राय: नित्य मुझे झिड़का करती हैं ।।
krudhyantī māṃ ca samprekṣya samaśaṅkata māṃ tvayi | tasyāṃ tathā bruvatyāṃ tu duḥkhaṃ māṃ mahad āviśat ||
मुझे क्रुद्ध देखकर रानी को तुम्हारे विषय में मुझ पर संदेह होने लगा, मानो मेरे भीतर कोई गुप्त आसक्ति हो। और जब-जब वह वैसी बातें कहती, तब-तब मुझे महान् दुःख आ घेरता।
