नभो वितिमिरं कुर्वज्जलदान् पाटयन्निव । दिश: सम्पूरयन् नादैर्महामेघरवोपमै:,वह रथ आकाशको अन्धकारशून्य मेघोंकी घटाको विदीर्ण और महान् मेघकी गर्जनाके समान गम्भीर शब्दसे दिशाओंको परिपूर्ण-सा कर रहा था
vaiśampāyana uvāca | nabho vitimiraṃ kurvaj jaladān pāṭayann iva | diśaḥ sampūrayan nādair mahāmegharavopamaiḥ |
वह रथ मानो आकाश को तमरहित कर रहा था, जैसे वर्षा-मेघों की घटाओं को विदीर्ण कर देता हो; और महान् मेघ-गर्जना के समान गम्भीर नाद से वह समस्त दिशाओं को भर रहा था।
