ऋषय ऊचु: निमज्जमानं व्यसनैरभिद्रुतं कुल नरेन्द्रस्य तमोमये हृदे । त्वया सुशीलब्रतपुण्यया कुलं समुद्धृतं साध्वि पुन: कुलीनया,ऋषि बोले--पतिव्रते! राजा द्युमत्सेनका कुल भाँति-भाँतिकी विपत्तियोंसे ग्रस्त होकर दुःखके अंधकारमय गढ़ेमें डूबा जा रहा था; परंतु तुझ-जैसी सुशीला, व्रतपरायणा और पवित्र आचरणवाली कुलीन वधूने आकर इसका उद्धार कर दिया
ṛṣaya ūcuḥ: nimajjamānaṃ vyasanair abhidrutaṃ kula-narendrasya tamo-maye hṛde | tvayā suśīla-vrata-puṇyayā kulaṃ samuddhṛtaṃ sādhvi punaḥ kulīnayā ||
ऋषियों ने कहा— पतिव्रते साध्वी! इस वंश के राजा का कुल अनेक विपत्तियों से पीड़ित होकर दुःख के अंधकारमय गर्त में डूब रहा था; पर तुम जैसी सुशीला, व्रतपरायणा, पुण्यवती और कुलीन वधू ने उसे फिर उठाकर उद्धार कर दिया।
