धृतराष्ट्रस्य क्रतु-प्रवर्तनम् तथा पाण्डवानां निमन्त्रण-प्रतिवचनम्
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Sacrifice Commences and the Pandavas’ Reply to the Invitation
ते वध्यमाना गन्धर्वा: सूतपुत्रेण धीमता
te vadhyamānā gandharvāḥ sūtaputreṇa dhīmatā | āpatad dhi mahāvegaiś citrasenasya sainikaiḥ ||
बुद्धिमान सूतपुत्र कर्ण के द्वारा जब गन्धर्व मारे जाने लगे, तब चित्रसेन के अत्यन्त वेगशाली सैनिक दल उमड़-उमड़कर आ पहुँचे। जितना उन पर प्रहार होता, उतने ही वे सैकड़ों-हज़ारों की संख्या में वहाँ एकत्र होने लगे।
