नानाप्रहरणं घोरमदृश्यत महद् बलम् | तद् वै घोरमसंख्येयं गर्जच्च विविधा गिर:
nānāpraharaṇaṁ ghoraṁ adṛśyata mahad balam | tad vai ghoraṁ asaṅkhyeyaṁ garjacca vividhā giraḥ ||
नाना प्रकार के अस्त्र-शस्त्रों से सुसज्जित एक महान्, भयंकर सेना दिखाई दी। वह सचमुच अत्यन्त डरावनी और असंख्य थी; और अनेक प्रकार की बोलियाँ बोलती हुई गर्जना कर रही थी।
