अथर्वा त्वसृजललोकानात्मना55लोक्य पावकम् । मिषतां सर्वभूतानामुन्ममाथ महार्णवम्,अथरवनि सब प्राणियोंके देखते-देखते समुद्रकों मथ डाला और अग्निदेवका दर्शन करके स्वयं ही सम्पूर्ण लोकोंकी सृष्टि की
atharvā tv asṛjal lokān ātmanā lokya pāvakam | miṣatāṁ sarvabhūtānām unmamātha mahārṇavam ||
मार्कण्डेय बोले—अथर्वा ने अपने ही तेज से लोकों की सृष्टि की। अग्निदेव का दर्शन करके, सब प्राणियों के देखते-देखते, उसने महान् समुद्र का मंथन कर दिया।
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse highlights tapas and spiritual potency as forces that uphold and manifest cosmic order: a realized sage, aligned with divine principles (symbolized by Agni), can accomplish world-sustaining acts that inspire awe and reaffirm dharma’s underlying structure.
Markandeya narrates a marvel: Atharvan, after beholding Agni, creates the worlds by his own power and churns the great ocean in the sight of all beings—an image of primordial activity associated with the emergence and ordering of creation.
