दर्श च पौर्णमासं च यस्य तिछेत्‌ प्रतिष्ठितम्‌ । इष्टिरष्टाकपालेन कार्या पथिकृतेडग्नये

Transliteration

darśaṁ ca paurṇamāsaṁ ca yasya tiṣṭhet pratiṣṭhitam | iṣṭir aṣṭākapālena kāryā pathikṛte 'gnaye ||

Translation

मार्कण्डेय बोले—जिसने दर्श और पौर्णमास के याग-व्रत विधिवत् स्थापित कर रखे हों, उसे मिट्टी के आठ कपालों में संस्कृत हवि तैयार करके ‘पथिकृत्’ नामक अग्नि के लिए इष्टि करनी चाहिए।
