स्रोतसासकृदाक्षिप्तं द्वियमाणं बलीयसा । इस प्रकार यह संसार असहाय तथा मोह, शोकमें डूबा हुआ है। कर्मोके अत्यन्त प्रबल प्रवाहमें पड़कर बार-बार उसकी आधि-व्याधिरूपी तरंगोंके थपेड़े सहता और विवश होकर इधर-से-उधर बहता रहता है

Transliteration

srotasā sakṛd ākṣiptaṃ dvīyamāṇaṃ balīyasā |

Translation

जैसे कोई वस्तु नदी के प्रवाह में एक बार पकड़ी जाकर बलवान धारा से बार-बार उछाली जाती है, वैसे ही यह संसार असहाय होकर मोह और शोक में डूबा रहता है। कर्मों के अत्यन्त प्रबल प्रवाह में पड़कर यह बार-बार आधि-व्याधि रूपी तरंगों के थपेड़े सहता है और विवश होकर इधर-उधर बहता रहता है।
