बहुयोजनविस्तीर्णो बहुयोजनमायत: । तत्र रौद्रो दानवेन्द्रो महावीर्यपराक्रम:

Transliteration

bahuyojanavistīrṇo bahuyojanamāyataḥ | tatra raudro dānavendro mahāvīryaparākramaḥ ||

Translation

उत्तंक ने कहा—वह कई योजन तक फैला और कई योजन तक लंबा है। वहाँ महान वीर्य और पराक्रम से युक्त एक रौद्र दानव-राज रहता है—मधु और कैटभ का पुत्र, जो ‘धुन्धु’ नाम से प्रसिद्ध है। राजन्! वह क्रूर दानव पृथ्वी के भीतर छिपकर निवास करता है।
