अन्वशासत् स धर्मज्ञ: पुत्रवद् भरतर्षभान् | तेडनुज्ञाता महात्मान: प्रययुर्दिशमुत्तराम्,वृषपर्वा भूत और भविष्यके ज्ञाता, कार्यकुशल और सम्पूर्ण धर्मोके मर्मज्ञ थे। उन धर्मज्ञ नरेशने भरतश्रेष्ठ पाण्डवोंको पुत्रकी भाँति उपदेश दिया। उनकी आज्ञा पाकर महामना पाण्डव उत्तरदिशाकी ओर चले
anvaśāsat sa dharmajñaḥ putravad bharatarṣabhān | te 'nujñātā mahātmānaḥ prayayur diśam uttarām ||
उस धर्मज्ञ नरेश ने भरतवंश के सिंह पाण्डवों को पुत्रों की भाँति उपदेश दिया। उनकी अनुमति पाकर वे महात्मा उत्तर दिशा की ओर चल पड़े।
