अध्याय ८ — शल्यस्य सत्कारः, वरदानं, पाण्डवसमागमश्च (Śalya’s Reception, the Boon, and Meeting the Pāṇḍavas)

अक्षौहिणीपती राजन्‌ महावीर्यपराक्रम: । विचित्रकवचा: शूरा विचित्रध्वजकार्मुका:

akṣauhiṇīpatī rājan mahāvīryaparākramaḥ | vicitrakavacāḥ śūrā vicitradhvajakārmukāḥ ||

राजन्! अक्षौहिणियों के अधिपति वे सेनानायक महावीर्य और पराक्रम से युक्त थे—शूरवीर, विविध कवच धारण किए हुए, और विचित्र ध्वजों तथा धनुषों से विभूषित।
