Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Appraisal of Strength and Preference for Śama
एवमेवोपकर्तणां प्रायशो लक्षयामहे । इच्छन्ति बहुलं सन्त: प्रतिकर्तु महत् प्रियम्
evamevopakartṝṇāṃ prāyaśo lakṣayāmahe | icchanti bahulaṃ santaḥ pratikartuṃ mahat priyam ||
वैशम्पायन बोले—“इसी प्रकार उपकार करने वालों के विषय में भी हम प्रायः देखते हैं कि सज्जन लोग महान् उपकार का प्रतिदान देने के लिए बहुत-सा, बड़ा प्रिय कार्य करना चाहते हैं।”
