सेनाग्रगं दंशितं भीमसेनं स्वालक्षणं वीरहणं परेषाम् | घ्नन्तं चमूमन्तकसंनिकाशं तदा स्मर्ता वचनस्थातिमानी,जब भीमसेन कवच धारण करके शत्रुपक्षके वीरोंका नाश करते हुए अपने पक्षके लोगोंके लिये भी अलक्षित हो सेनाके आगे-आगे तीव्र वेगसे बढ़ेंगे और यमराजके समान विपक्षी सेनाका संहार करने लगेंगे, उस समय अत्यन्त अभिमानी दुर्योधनको मेरी ये बातें याद आयेंगी
saṅjaya uvāca | senāgra-gaṁ daṁśitaṁ bhīmasenaṁ svalakṣaṇaṁ vīrahaṇaṁ pareṣām | ghnantaṁ camūm antaka-sannikāśaṁ tadā smartā vacanasthātimānī ||
संजय बोले—जब कवच धारण किए भीमसेन सेना के अग्रभाग में तीव्र वेग से बढ़ेंगे—अपने चिह्नों से पहचाने जाने पर भी शत्रुओं के लिए दुर्धर्ष—और उनके वीरों का संहार करते हुए, अन्तक (मृत्यु) के समान विपक्षी सेना को रौंदने लगेंगे, तब अत्यन्त अभिमानी दुर्योधन को मेरे ये वचन स्मरण होंगे।
