तव पुत्रशतं चैव कर्ण: पञ्च च पाण्डवा: । पृथिवीमनुशासेयुरखिलां सागराम्बराम्,आपके सौ पुत्र, कर्ण और पाँच पाण्डव--ये सब मिलकर समुद्रपर्यन्त सम्पूर्ण पृथ्वीका शासन कर सकते हैं
tava putraśataṃ caiva karṇaḥ pañca ca pāṇḍavāḥ | pṛthivīm anuśāseyuḥ akhilāṃ sāgarāmbarām ||
विदुर ने कहा—आपके सौ पुत्र, कर्ण और पाँचों पाण्डव—ये सब मिलकर समुद्रपर्यन्त इस समस्त पृथ्वी का शासन कर सकते हैं। दोनों पक्षों में ऐसी सामर्थ्य विद्यमान है; अतः युद्ध में उसे नष्ट करने के बजाय मेल और धर्मनीति का आश्रय लीजिए।
