उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय 33: धृतराष्ट्र-विदुर संवादः (विदुरनीतिः)
यथा मधु समादत्ते रक्षन् पुष्पाणि षट्पद:ः । तद्वदर्थान् मनुष्येभ्य आदद्यादविहिंसया,जैसे भौंरा फूलोंकी रक्षा करता हुआ ही उनके मधुका ग्रहण करता है, उसी प्रकार राजा भी प्रजाजनोंको कष्ट दिये बिना ही उनसे धन ले
yathā madhu samādatte rakṣan puṣpāṇi ṣaṭpadaḥ | tadvad arthān manuṣyebhya ādadīd avihiṃsayā ||
जैसे भौंरा फूलों की रक्षा करते हुए ही मधु लेता है, वैसे ही राजा को भी प्रजाजनों को कष्ट दिए बिना उनसे धन लेना चाहिए।
