Śikhaṇḍinī’s Marriage Arrangement and the Daśārṇa Envoy’s Accusation (शिखण्डिनी-विवाह-विप्रलम्भ-प्रसङ्गः)

स्वभावगुप्तं॑ नगरमापत्काले तु भारत | गोपयामास राजेन्द्र सर्वत: समलंकृतम्‌

svabhāvaguptaṁ nagaram āpatkāle tu bhārata | gopayāmāsa rājendra sarvataḥ samalaṅkṛtam ||

भरतनन्दन राजेन्द्र! यद्यपि वह नगर स्वभाव से ही सुरक्षित था, तथापि आपत्ति के समय राजा ने उसे सब ओर से सुसज्जित कर विशेष रूप से सुरक्षित रखने की व्यवस्था की।
