चित्राड़दं कौरवाणामाधिपत्ये5भ्यषेचयम् । विचित्रवीर्य च शिशुं यौवराज्ये5 भ्यषेचयम्,माता सत्यवतीके ज्येष्ठ पुत्र चित्रांगगको कौरवोंके राज्यपर और बालक विचित्रवीर्यको युवराजके पदपर अभिषिक्त कर दिया था
citrāṅgadaṃ kauravāṇām ādhipatye 'bhiṣecayam | vicitravīryaṃ ca śiśuṃ yauvarājye 'bhiṣecayam ||
मैंने कौरवों के अधिपत्य में चित्रांगद का अभिषेक कराया और बालक विचित्रवीर्य को युवराज पद पर अभिषिक्त किया। इस प्रकार कुरुवंश की स्थिरता और राज्य-परम्परा की सुव्यवस्था के लिए मैंने ज्येष्ठ को राजसिंहासन पर और कनिष्ठ को युवराज पद पर स्थापित किया।
