Agni-hymn, discovery of Indra, and the Nahuṣa threat
Sincere praise and reverence offered to a worthy divine being bears fruit: Agni responds with prīti (gracious pleasure) and makes a truthful promise. The verse highlights satya (truthfulness) and the ethical weight of a pledged word.
After being eulogized, Agni becomes pleased and addresses Bṛhaspati, promising to grant him a direct encounter—he will show him Śakra (Indra)—and emphasizes that this assurance is true.
