योधचन्द्रोदयोद्धूत: कुरुराजमहार्णव: । व्यदृश्यत तदा राजंश्वन्द्रोदय इवोदधि:
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
yodhacandrodayoddhūtaḥ kururājamahārṇavaḥ |
vyadṛśyata tadā rājañ chandrodaya ivodadhiḥ ||
राजन्, उस समय योद्धा-रूपी चन्द्र के उदय से उद्दीप्त हुआ कुरुराज-रूपी महासागर चन्द्रोदय के समय समुद्र की भाँति ही दिखाई देने लगा।
