Kaurava Mobilization at Kurukṣetra (Duryodhana Orders War Preparations) /
teṣāṁ praharṣa-manasāṁ nādaḥ samabhavan mahān | yogo ity atha sainyānāṁ tvaratāṁ sampradhāvatām ||
The verse highlights how collective emotion and resolve can rapidly translate into coordinated action: exhilaration becomes mobilization. Ethically, it marks the moment when intention hardens into readiness for war, underscoring the gravity of choosing conflict and the momentum that follows once armies commit.
After a rousing development (implied by the surrounding passage), the warriors become joyful and energized. A loud roar rises, and the troops rush about making preparations; the call “yoga” functions as an order to yoke up and get fully equipped for battle.
