Kṛṣṇa’s Conciliatory Address to Karṇa
अलं युद्धेन तैवीरि: शाम्य त्वं कुरुवृद्धये । मा गम: ससुतामात्य: सबलश्न यमक्षयम्
alaṁ yuddhena tair vīraiḥ śāmya tvaṁ kuru-vṛddhaye | mā gamaḥ sa-sutāmātyaḥ sa-balaś ca yamākṣayam, rājan ||
भीष्म बोले—उन वीरों के साथ युद्ध बहुत हो चुका; अब शान्त हो जाओ और कुरुवंश की वृद्धि के लिये संधि कर लो। राजन्, इस युद्ध से तुम्हें कोई लाभ नहीं; पुत्रों, मन्त्रियों और सेनाओं सहित यमलोक की ओर प्रस्थान मत करो।
