उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय १३५: कुन्त्याः कृष्णं प्रति संदेशः

Kuntī’s Message to Kṛṣṇa

विद्याशूरं तप:शूरं दानशूरं तपस्विनम्‌ । ब्राह्मयया श्रिया दीप्यमानं साधुवादे च सम्मतम्‌

vidyāśūraṃ tapaḥśūraṃ dānaśūraṃ tapasvinam | brāhmyayā śriyā dīpyamānaṃ sādhuvāde ca sammatam

पुत्र ने कहा—वह विद्या में शूर है, तप में शूर है, दान में शूर है—सच्चा तपस्वी है। ब्राह्म्य तेज और आध्यात्मिक श्री से वह दीप्तिमान है, और सज्जनों द्वारा सर्वत्र प्रशंसित तथा मान्य है।
