Udyoga Parva Adhyaya 133 — A Mother’s Counsel to Saṃjaya
स्वर्गद्वारोपमं राज्यमथवाप्यमृतोपमम् | युद्धमेकायनं मत्वा पतोल्मुक इवारिषु,युद्धको स्वर्गद्वारके सदृश उत्तम गति अथवा अमृतके सदृश राज्यकी प्राप्तिका एकमात्र मार्ग मानकर तू जलते हुए काठकी भाँति शत्रुओंपर टूट पड़
svargadvāropamaṃ rājyam athavāpy amṛtopamam | yuddham ekāyanaṃ matvā patolmuḳa ivāriṣu ||
युद्ध को स्वर्गद्वार के समान उत्तम गति—अथवा अमृत के समान राज्य—प्राप्त करने का एकमात्र मार्ग मानकर, तू जलते हुए काष्ठ-शूल की भाँति शत्रुओं पर टूट पड़।
