विक्रमे चाप्यपर्याप्ता: पाण्डवान् प्रति भारत । “भरतनन्दन! ये तुम्हें ज्ञान, धर्म और अर्थकी प्राप्ति करानेमें समर्थ नहीं हैं और पाण्डवोंके सामने पराक्रम प्रकट करनेमें भी ये असमर्थ ही हैं

vikrame cāpy aparyāptāḥ pāṇḍavān prati bhārata |
वैशम्पायन बोले— हे भारत! पाण्डवों के सामने ये पराक्रम में भी अपर्याप्त हैं। हे भरतनन्दन! ये न तुम्हें ज्ञान, धर्म और अर्थ की प्राप्ति करा सकते हैं और न पाण्डवों के सामने अपना पराक्रम दिखाने में ही समर्थ हैं।
