yena tvāṁ nābhijānanti tato 'jñāto 'si pātitaḥ | prītyaiva cāsi dauhitrais tāritas tvam ihāgataḥ ||
Pride and self-exalting conduct can obscure one’s earned merit and lead to a fall; conversely, sincere affection and familial responsibility (here, the daughter’s sons) can become a means of rescue and restoration.
Nārada explains to a royal sage that he was not recognized in heaven and was therefore cast down; later, his grandsons through his daughter, acting out of love, delivered him and enabled his return.
