Gālava Completes the Horse-Gift: Garuḍa’s Counsel and Viśvāmitra’s Acceptance (गालव-विष्वामित्र-सम्बन्धः)
शते द्वे तु ममाश्वानामीदृशानां द्विजोत्तम | इतरेषां सहस्राणि सुबहूनि चरन्ति मे
śate dve tu mamāśvānām īdṛśānāṃ dvijottama | itareṣāṃ sahasrāṇi subahūni caranti me ||
नारद बोले—हे द्विजश्रेष्ठ! जिन अश्वों की तुम्हें आवश्यकता है, वैसे मेरे पास केवल दो सौ हैं। अन्य जातियों के तो बहुत-से सहस्र घोड़े मेरे यहाँ विचरते हैं।
