अदोमूला सुराणां श्रीर्यत्र शक्रो5 भ्यषिच्यत । सुरराज्येन विप्रर्षे देवैश्ञात्र तपश्चितम्
adomūlā surāṇāṃ śrīr yatra śakro 'bhyasicyata | surarājyena viprarṣe devaiś cātra tapaś citam ||
यूपर्ण बोले— हे ब्रह्मर्षे! देवताओं की समृद्धि का मूलस्थान वही है, जहाँ शक्र (इन्द्र) का देव-राज्य पर प्रथम अभिषेक हुआ। उसी दिशा में देवताओं ने तपस्या भी की।
युपर्ण उवाच
Prosperity and rightful sovereignty are portrayed as grounded in sacred order: Indra’s legitimate rule is established through consecration, and divine success is linked to disciplined austerity (tapas) rather than mere power.
Yuparṇa points out a revered locus/quarter associated with the gods: it is where Indra was first anointed as king of the devas and where the gods undertook austerities, marking it as a foundational source of divine fortune.
