गालवस्य विषादः तथा विष्णुप्रयाणम्
Gālava’s Despair and Resolve to Seek Viṣṇu
तपस्वी गालवके बहुत आग्रह करनेपर विश्वामित्रको कुछ क्रोध आ गया; अतः उन्होंने इस प्रकार कहा-- ।।
ekataḥ śyāmakarṇānāṃ hayānāṃ candravarcasām | aṣṭau śatāni me dehi gaccha gālava mā ciram ||
गालव! चन्द्रमा के समान उज्ज्वल ऐसे आठ सौ घोड़े मुझे दे दो, जिनके एक कान का रंग श्याम हो। जाओ—देर मत करो।
