Mantri-Parīkṣā — Testing Ministers, Securing Counsel, and Ethical Criteria for Advisers (अध्याय ८४)
तस्यैवं वर्तमानस्य पुरुषस्थ विजानत: । अमित्रा: सम्प्रसीदन्ति तथा मित्रीभवन्त्यपि,ऐसा बर्ताव करनेवाले विज्ञ पुरुषके शत्रु भी प्रसन्न हो जाते हैं और उसके साथ मैत्री स्थापित कर लेते हैं
tasyaivaṁ vartamānasya puruṣastha vijānataḥ | amitrāḥ samprasīdanti tathā mitrībhavanty api ||
जो विवेकी पुरुष इस प्रकार स्थिर और धर्मयुक्त आचरण करता है, उसके शत्रु भी प्रसन्न हो जाते हैं और कालान्तर में उससे मैत्री स्थापित कर लेते हैं।
