दुर्व्याह्वताच्छड्कमानो दुष्कृताद्‌ दुरधिषछितात्‌ | दुरासिताद्‌ दुर्वजितादिल्धितादड्रचेष्टितात्‌

Transliteration

durvyāhṛtāc chaḍkamāno duṣkṛtād duradhiṣṭhitāt | durāsitād durvajitād īḍhitād duṣceṣṭitāt ||

Translation

भीष्म बोले—सदा सतर्क रहना चाहिए कि मुख से कोई अनुचित वचन न निकल जाए और कोई दुष्कर्म न बन पड़े; तथा उठते, आसन पर बैठते, चलते, संकेत करते या किसी अंग की चेष्टा करते समय कहीं असभ्यता या बेअदबी न हो जाए।
