Cāturāśramya-dharma—Marks of the Four Āśramas (चातुराश्रम्यधर्मः)
प्रजापतिर्हिं भगवान् सर्व चैवासृजज्जगत् । स प्रवृत्तिनिवृत्त्यर्थ धर्माणां क्षत्रमिच्छति
prajāpatir hi bhagavān sarvaṃ caivāsṛjaj jagat | sa pravṛtti-nivṛtty-arthaṃ dharmāṇāṃ kṣatram icchati |
भगवान् प्रजापति ने ही इस समस्त जगत की सृष्टि की; और प्राणियों को सत्कर्म में प्रवृत्त करने तथा दुष्कर्म से निवृत्त कराने के लिए, धर्म-रक्षा हेतु उन्होंने क्षात्र-शक्ति की स्थापना चाही।
