Chapter 57: Constant Royal Vigilance, Primacy of Protection, and Principles of Dismissal
स्वकर्मनिरता यस्य जना विषयवासिन: । असंघातरता दान्ता: पाल्यमाना यथाविधि
svakarmaniratā yasya janā viṣayavāsinaḥ | asaṅghātaratā dāntāḥ pālyamānā yathāvidhi ||
भीष्म ने कहा—जिसके राज्य में विषयों में रहते हुए भी लोग विधिपूर्वक सुरक्षित और पालित होकर अपने-अपने कर्म में लगे रहें, आसक्ति से रहित और जितेन्द्रिय हों, तथा अनुशासन में स्थित हों—वही राजा वास्तव में श्रेष्ठ है।
