दानपात्रापात्र-निर्णयः / Determining Worthy Gifts, Recipients, and Permissible Food
अथ चूर्णैश्व गन्धानां नानापुष्पप्रियड्गुभि: । माल्यदामभिरासक्ते राजवेश्माभिसंवृतम्
atha cūrṇaiś ca gandhānāṁ nānāpuṣpapriyāṅgubhiḥ | mālyadāmabhir āsakte rājaveśmābhisaṁvṛtam ||
फिर राजमहल के चारों ओर सुगन्धित चूर्ण बिखेरे गए थे। नाना प्रकार के फूलों, मनोहर बन्दनवारों और पुष्पहारों की मालाओं से उसे भली-भाँति सुसज्जित किया गया था।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse primarily conveys the value of auspicious order and refined conduct in royal and ritual settings: external harmony—cleanliness, fragrance, and careful adornment—supports an atmosphere conducive to respectful assembly and dharmic deliberation.
Vaiśampāyana describes the preparation of the royal residence: fragrant powders are scattered and the surroundings are decorated with many kinds of flowers and garlands, indicating a formal, celebratory, or ceremonially significant occasion.
