न किंचिदपि पश्यामो हतचक्षुर्बलेन्द्रिया: । “भगवान्के उस अनिर्वचनीय तेजने हमारे चित्तको सहसा खींच लिया था; परंतु हमारे नेत्र
na kiñcid api paśyāmo hata-cakṣur balendriyāḥ |
भीष्म ने कहा—हम कुछ भी नहीं देख पा रहे थे। हमारे नेत्र मानो आहत होकर अन्धे से हो गए थे; बल और इन्द्रियाँ भी दब गई थीं। उस भगवान् के अनिर्वचनीय तेज ने हमारे चित्त को सहसा अपनी ओर खींच लिया था; परन्तु इन कारणों से हम स्पष्ट रूप से कुछ भी नहीं देख सके।
