Yajña-bhāga-vyavasthā and the Pravṛtti–Nivṛtti Framework (यज्ञभागव्यवस्था तथा प्रवृत्तिनिवृत्तिधर्मविवेचनम्)
शिष्याणां वचन श्रुत्वा व्यासो वेदार्थतत्त्ववित् । पराशरात्मजो धीमान् परलोकार्थचिन्तक:
śiṣyāṇāṁ vacanaṁ śrutvā vyāso vedārtha-tattva-vit | parāśarātmajo dhīmān paralokārtha-cintakaḥ ||
शिष्यों की बात सुनकर वेदार्थ-तत्त्व के ज्ञाता, पराशर-नन्दन बुद्धिमान व्यास— जो परलोक-हित का चिन्तन करने वाले थे— उनके अनुरोध पर विचार करने लगे।
