एवं विमृशतस्तस्य चिरकारितया बहु । दीर्घ:कालो व्यतिक्रान्तस्ततो<5स्याभ्यागमत् पिता
evaṁ vimṛśatas tasya cirakāritayā bahu | dīrghaḥ kālo vyatikrāntas tato 'syābhyāgamat pitā ||
विलम्ब करने के स्वभाव के कारण वह चिरकारी इसी प्रकार सोचता-विचारता रहा। इसी सोच-विचार में बहुत-सा समय बीत गया। इतने में ही उसके पिता लौट आए।
भीष्म उवाच
