अध्याय २५६ — श्रद्धा, अहिंसा, स्पर्धा-त्यागः
Tūlādhāra–Jājali: Faith, Non-harm, and Renunciation of Rivalry
उपायमन्यं सम्पश्य भूतानां हितकाम्यया । यथामी जन्तव: सर्वे न दहेरन् पितामह,पितामह! आप सम्पूर्ण प्राणियोंके हितके लिये संहारका कोई दूसरा ही उपाय सोचिये, जिससे ये सारे जीव-जन्तु एक साथ ही दन्ध न हो जायँ
upāyam anyaṃ sampaśya bhūtānāṃ hitakāmyayā | yathā ime jantavaḥ sarve na dahyeran pitāmaha pitāmaha ||
नारद बोले—पितामह! समस्त प्राणियों के हित की कामना से संहार का कोई दूसरा उपाय सोचिए, जिससे ये सारे जीव एक साथ जलकर नष्ट न हो जाएँ।
