भिक्षुलक्षणम्—एकचर्याः, अहिंसा, कैवल्याश्रमः

आक्रीडानां गृहाणां च गदानामगदस्य च । प्रज्ञावन्त: प्रयोक्तारो ज्ञानवद्धिरनुछिता:

Transliteration

ākrīḍānāṁ gṛhāṇāṁ ca gadānām agadasya ca | prajñāvantaḥ prayoktāro jñānavaddhir anucchitāḥ ||

Translation

व्यास बोले—बेटा! खेल के लिए स्थान और रहने के लिए घर चेतन प्राणी ही बनाते हैं। वे ही रोगों को पहचानकर उन पर ठीक-ठीक औषधि का प्रयोग करते हैं। ये सब कार्य स्वभाव से अपने-आप नहीं होते; इन्हें ज्ञानवान और विवेकी पुरुष ही यथावत् करते हैं।
