This line is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: it signals that the chapter’s instruction—framed as a dialogue between Manu and Bṛhaspati within Mokṣa-dharma—has concluded, situating the teaching within the Mahābhārata’s ethical and liberation-oriented discourse.
The text is marking the end of Adhyāya 202 in the Śānti Parvan’s Mokṣa-dharma section, specifically the portion presented as the Manu–Bṛhaspati conversation, as recounted under Bhīṣma’s larger instruction to Yudhiṣṭhira.
