धन-यज्ञ-दानविवेकः
Wealth, Sacrifice, and Disciplined Giving
अनरहहते यद् ददाति न ददाति यदर्हते । अह्निहपिरिज्ञानाद दानधर्मो5पि दुष्कर:
anarhate yad dadāti na dadāti yadarhate | ajñānāt pātriparijñānād dānadharmo 'pi duṣkaraḥ ||
मनुष्य प्रायः अयोग्य को दे देता है और योग्य को नहीं देता। पात्र-अपात्र की पहचान न होने से दानधर्म भी कठिन हो जाता है; क्योंकि उलटा दान पुण्य नहीं, दोष का कारण बनता है।
