Manu’s Instruction
सत्य॑ वेदेषु जागार्ति फलं सत्ये परं स्मृतम् । सत्याद् धर्मो दमश्चैव सर्व सत्ये प्रतेष्ठितम्
satyaṁ vedeṣu jāgarti phalaṁ satye paraṁ smṛtam | satyād dharmo damaś caiva sarvaṁ satye pratiṣṭhitam ||
वेदों में सत्य ही जाग्रत है—उसी की महिमा वहाँ प्रतिपादित है। सत्य का ही परम फल माना गया है। सत्य से ही धर्म और इन्द्रिय-संयम सिद्ध होते हैं; और सब कुछ सत्य के आधार पर प्रतिष्ठित है।
