Manu’s Instruction
राजोवाच प्रस्तुतं सुमहत् कार्यमनयोर्गह्वरं यथा । जापकस्य दृढीकार: कथमेतद् भविष्यति
rājovāca prasṛtaṃ sumahat kāryam anayor gahvaraṃ yathā | jāpakasya dṛḍhīkāraḥ katham etad bhaviṣyati ||
राजा मन-ही-मन बोला—इन दोनों के सामने एक अत्यन्त भारी और गहन, मानो खाई-सा, कार्य आ खड़ा हुआ है। और जापक ब्राह्मण का दृढ़ आग्रह ज्यों-का-त्यों बना है। अब इसका निपटारा कैसे होगा?
