On Gratitude and Friendship Ethics
ततो वर्षसहस्रान्ते वितानमकरोत प्रभु: । विधिना कल्पदृष्टेन यथावच्चोपपादितम्
tato varṣa-sahasrānte vitānam akarot prabhuḥ | vidhinā kalpa-dṛṣṭena yathāvac copapāditam, tathā brahmarṣibhiś caiva sadasyaiḥ upaśobhitam |
तदनन्तर सहस्र वर्ष बीत जाने पर प्रभु ब्रह्मा ने शास्त्रदृष्ट विधि के अनुसार यज्ञ-वितान की रचना की। वह विधिपूर्वक यथावत् सजाया गया और ब्रह्मर्षियों तथा सभासद् ऋत्विजों से सुशोभित हुआ; इस प्रकार नियमानुसार महायज्ञ प्रवर्तित हुआ।
भीष्म उवाच
Dharma is upheld through orderly, well-founded procedure (vidhi/kalpa) carried out with precision (yathāvat) and supported by qualified sages and responsible participants; right action is not merely intention but correct, disciplined execution.
After a long span of time, the Lord (contextually Brahmā) establishes a sacrificial pavilion and begins a properly regulated yajña, graced by brahmarṣis and the assembled officiants, emphasizing the grandeur and correctness of the rite.
