कपोती-विलापः स्वर्गसंयोगश्च

कृतबुद्धि्द्रूमे तस्मिन् वस्तुं तां रजनी ततः । साञ्जलि: प्रणतिं कृत्वा वाक्यमाह वनस्पतिम्
kṛtabuddhidrūme tasmin vastuṃ tāṃ rajanī tataḥ | sāñjaliḥ praṇatiṃ kṛtvā vākyam āha vanaspatim ||
भीष्म ने कहा—तब उस रात्रि को वहीं बिताने का निश्चय करके वह ‘कृतबुद्धि’ कहे जाने वाले उस वृक्ष के पास गई। हाथ जोड़कर, प्रणाम करके, उसने विनयपूर्वक वनस्पति-स्वामी से यथोचित वचन कहे।
