Protection of the Refuge-Seeker: Opening of the Kapota Narrative
यथावदुक्त वचन हितार्थिना निशम्य विप्रेण सुवीरराष्ट्रप: तथाकरोदू् वाक्यमदीनचेतन: श्रियं च दीप्तां बुभुजे सबान्धव:
yathāvad ukta-vacanaṁ hitārthinā niśamya vipreṇa su-vīra-rāṣṭrapaḥ | tathākarod vākyaṁ adīna-cetanaḥ śriyaṁ ca dīptāṁ bubhuje sa-bāndhavaḥ ||
भीष्म ने कहा—हित चाहने वाले ब्राह्मण के यथोचित और सुबोधित उपदेश को भली-भाँति सुनकर उस वीर-देश के नरेश ने वैसा ही आचरण किया जैसा कहा गया था। अवसन्न न होने वाले स्थिर चित्त से वह अपने बन्धु-बान्धवों सहित दीप्तिमान् समृद्धि का उपभोग करने लगा।
