नासम्यक्‌ कृतकारी स्यादप्रमत्त: सदा भवेत्‌ | कण्टको<पि हि दुश्छिन्नो विकारं कुरुते चिरम्‌

Transliteration

nāsamyak kṛtakārī syād apramattaḥ sadā bhavet | kaṇṭako 'pi hi duśchinnaḥ vikāraṃ kurute ciram ||

Translation

भीष्म ने कहा—किसी कार्य को ठीक से सम्पन्न किए बिना न छोड़े, और सदा सावधान रहे। क्योंकि काँटा भी यदि ठीक से न निकाला जाए और उसका कुछ अंश भीतर रह जाए, तो वह दीर्घकाल तक विकार उत्पन्न करता है।
