Draupadī’s Exhortation on Rājadharma and Daṇḍa (द्रौपद्याः राजधर्मोपदेशः)
द्रौपहुवाच इमे ते भ्रातर: पार्थ शुष्यन्ते स््तोकका इव । वावाश्यमानास्तिष्ठन्ति न चैनानभिनन्दसे,कुन्तीकुमार! आपके ये भाई आपका संकल्प सुनकर सूख गये हैं; पपीहोंके समान आपसे राज्य करनेकी रट लगा रहे हैं; फिर भी आप इनका अभिनन्दन नहीं करते? ।।
Draupadī uvāca: ime te bhrātaraḥ Pārtha śuṣyante stokakā iva | vāvāśyamānās tiṣṭhanti na cainān abhinandase, Kuntīkumarā ||
द्रौपदी बोली—हे पार्थ! आपके ये भाई छोटे-छोटे सरोवरों की भाँति सूखते जा रहे हैं। पपीहों की तरह पुकारते हुए आपके सामने खड़े हैं, आपको राज्य ग्रहण करने को कह रहे हैं; फिर भी आप इनका अभिनन्दन नहीं करते, हे कुन्तीनन्दन!
