The Fall of Duryodhana and the Contest of Restraint
पुनरावर्तमानानां भग्नानां जीवितैषिणाम् । भेतव्यमरिशेषाणामेकायनगता हिते
punarāvartamānānāṁ bhagnānāṁ jīvitaiṣiṇām | bhetavyam ariśeṣāṇām ekāyanagatā hi te ||
वायु ने कहा: “जो शत्रु टूटकर प्राण बचाने की इच्छा से भागे हों, पर फिर लौटकर युद्ध की ओर आने लगें—ऐसे बचे हुए शत्रुओं से सदा सावधान रहना चाहिए; क्योंकि वे एक ही मार्ग के निश्चय पर पहुँच चुके होते हैं, और तब मृत्यु से भी नहीं डरते।”
