devalas tu vacaḥ śrutvā bhūtānāṃ karuṇaṃ tathā
Translation
भूतों के हित में कहे गए उन करुण वचनों को सुनकर देवल भी द्रवित हो उठा; घटनाओं की कठोरता के बीच उसने दया-धर्म का भारी महत्त्व समझ लिया।
