Resolve for the Mace Duel
न मे समर्था: सर्वे वै योद्धुं न््यायेन केचन । न युक्तमात्मना वक्तुमेवं गर्वोद्धतं वच: । अथवा सफल होतत् करिष्ये भवतां पुर:
na me samarthāḥ sarve vai yoddhuṃ nyāyena kecana | na yuktam ātmanā vaktum evaṃ garvoddhataṃ vacaḥ | athavā saphala etat kariṣye bhavatāṃ puraḥ ||
संजय ने कहा—तुम सब तो क्या, तुममें से कोई एक भी न्यायपूर्वक मेरे साथ युद्ध करने में समर्थ नहीं। अपने विषय में ऐसे गर्वोन्मत्त वचन कहना मुझे शोभा नहीं देता; पर वचन निकल गया। अथवा कहने की क्या आवश्यकता? तुम्हारे सामने ही मैं इसे सत्य कर दिखाऊँगा।
